CC071117 - Interim MDS Coordinator - currently seeking qualified MDS Coordinators in long-term care/skilled nursing facilities nationwide. Interim Openings are travel positions, located nationwide and may not be local or commutable daily. Approved Lodging and Travel arrangements for each interim assignment are available. Must be willing and interested in interim travel. Resume and experience must accurately illustrate appropriate experience.

Duties:

  • Interim assignment
  • Assist the client with completion of MDS 3.0 process
  • Assist the client with assessing and implementing systems and processes as requested
  • Maintain current working knowledge of applicable state and federal standards, regulations and industry standards of practice and professional practice guidelines
  • Assist clients as requested with training and mentoring
  • Maintain client confidentiality and function within HIPAA regulations

Qualifications:

  • Licensed registered nurse (compact license preferred)
  • Proficient in MDS 3.0
  • AANAC/RAC-CT Certification
  • Position requires 80% travel

  • Serve as a liaison in responding to accounts receivable inquiries for solution of billing issues or for information or interpretation from third parties.

  • Assures accuracy and completeness of entire medical record
  • Assures and monitors that MDSs are completed within HCFCA and Medicare guidelines

  • Participates in family/resident care plan conferences
  • Assures effective communication with other shifts and departments as it relates to medical record documentation

Qualifications:

  • Managed Care Insurance claims experience
  • Michigan Managed care knowledge a plus
